In colder climate, vegetation shed leaves in Fall to preserve water loss as there are not enough water readily available in the frozen soil. More bare grounds are exposed in Fall over a vegetative landscape because of the leaf-off condition, and the opposite happens in summer because of the leaf-on condition. A snapshot of the landscape taken by optical sensor Earth observing satellites in false color composite looks Red-ish in summer because of the chlorophyl continent of the leaves but looks gray-ish in Fall because of the exposed bare ground. Design of this decor is inspired by these natural changes in landscape captured by Earth observing satellites.
